Ok so I'm studying my book again, yes I'm a bookworm lol.. anyways it said bantams should have a higher humidity during hatch time because they lose more then normal size eggs. For those here who hatch silkies what do you keep your humidity at during hatch time?

I didn't do silkies, but I did OEGB. I ran 30%, but again, air cell size is your best bet.

I finally have some Silkies hatching! I had to incubate them at really low humidity (it has been very humid here) and hatching them at about 60 to 65% humidity. Can't wait till they are fluffed up!

I got 2 or 3 black showgirls and a few lavenders I think!

If I ever buy one again after the last one that worked three times I will remember that, but for now my scythe will do. I live in the country on a dead end lane at the end.

I just use an electric cordless weed easter these days....they seem like that are all stubborn starters

The problem with the electric ones is then you have a bunch of extension cords to wind back up.

True but at least your back isn't pulled out of place trying to start the gas ones. And the smell of gas at end of day....oh and the noise.
