Our second lockdown is tomorrow.

Here's a picture of her first hatch we did lose two since they were hatched.



I have Seabright and Rose Combs in my incubator right now. Only half of the eggs seemed hatchable by day 14.

All of my barred Cochins we're definitely not fertilized. So apparently our rooster is not doing his job. He is going to have to go.

Unfortunately to stay here you have to have a purpose and being a pet is not a purpose. lol

Now to try to find him a home.

The problem is that the pronunciation of דור in English is "DOR"
דודו is another one, "DUDU"

We have one memmber in ouer thread that the meaning in Hebrew of its forum name is - castrated. .....
AND I NEVER SAY WHO HE IS!!

Just dropping in to say hi to everyone, hope everyone is doing great, and then to say goodnight. I don't have enough hours in the day any more, but I'm still hammering away at everything. Progress with the new coop slowed down this weekend, but I got in what time I could between showers and thunderstorms. I've devoted far too much time towards building a deck, when I needed to be working inside and putting up wire for the pen. Fortunately I should be able to get a couple more weeks or so out of the brooder before I have no choice but to move the chicks. They're 5 1/2 weeks old now, and the do get to go out into a temporary mini-pen for fresh grass and sunshine every day. Caught a nice pic of them with their body guard this afternoon...



Time to hit the shower...

As promised.....



5 of 8 Rouen ducklings hatched.
One malpo died while attempting to zip, two late quitters.

Happy overall with the results, first time attempting ducks in the bator.
My hens do a much better job.

7 hatched. Candles the 8th and no change shouldn't have set it. Lesson learned.

Thanks! I think I just needed someone else to tell me it was okay to take them I thought about the broody hen thread, but I needed an answer before I left work (we're almost outta G's) and I figured I'd get one fast on this thread! Y'all are awesome!

I just figured they might have some experienced future solution/prevention idea since they do it a lot.

Enjoy. It is good to know you can cook. Make sure you can do laundry too. We had some guy in college who dumped dish soap in his load of laundry. There were bubbles all down the dorm hallway

When I lived in Samoa.,my friend had a BIL named Namu. That means Mosquito is Samoan. So, they named their son Mosquito???? So we called him Skeeter.
