How do I do that?

There's a pull down menu beside your username (upper right hand corner), on that menu click preferences, then scroll down to Notifications and Subscriptions, select which notifications you want to receive and click save.

My 6 remaining eggs are going into lockdown tonight. (I can not see into 4 of them still, so not sure if they are even fertile...but gonna wait and see!) My two remaining Lavender Orpingtons are still moving and have those crazy saddle air cells, hoping they hatch successfully!

You can always start a new thread, nobody stops you, this thread is so popular because its mix of knowledge of high degree, fun and a group of people that feel mor to each other than just forum members. So if you like what you see come and jump in you are very welcome, and if you don't I dont think that you can change the dynamic!

Yes I realize that. I am a brand new chicken person and hatcher . I don't think many would want to be on my chickens for dummies thread. I certainly don't want to dismiss the friendships you all have. To be a part of it you need to have lots time to be reading this list ,just to stay caught up. If the purpose is to have a place to chat all day I understand. I realize I can't change the dynamics. I don't have hours and hours a day to read a forum.. I used before I retired. I had a job where I surfed the internet all day.

I do enjoying chatting with Sally. She is a wonderful person. I have met others to that are very nice. You all have answered questions for me. I thank you for that.
Now back to my many chores.

You are searching a place that will be available 24/7 at your servic, and will give you ASAP answer to your question, and all of that with very high efficiency, that you establish its parameter? And all of this without paying? People pay hige $ for this kind of service!
Remind me pleas, I owe you somthing?

Thanks everyone for the replies. I hope everything turns out well in the hatch. Of the 15 , I have 4 Ameraucanas, 4 Delaware, 4 Barred Rock and 3 Black Australorps. I was expecting only an 80 to 90% hatch, but so far I'm at 100% (if you don't count the infertile egg that was discarded). Good thing I built a brooder with a divider to make it 2 rooms! I guess I will be removing the divider more quickly than planned!

The chickens are definitely addicting! I want one of every kind! We are building a huge coop and run, and then starting to build an Old West Town for the coops, nesting boxes in which they will sleep and lay, and then they can go in the big run during the day. Has been an undertaking!

isn't that the truth! We currently have 7 in an 8x16x8 coop wrapped in hardware cloth. Built a cover in the back around the roost, sand boxes for bathing, and a pole with multi levels of roosts for enjoyment during the day. Not to mention the darn chicken swing that they won't get on...lol The pic is before we added the sand box in there. We are making an additional 4 smaller coops (4x16) opposite this one with a hallway with storage in between so we can have different age chicks separated...or places for Roos..whatever the need may be!
