There are 13 chicks in there now, I'd say in the last 4 hours, 8 have hatched. The others hatched earlier than that. NONE of them are dry.how long have they been out?

Baby update. Had an ultrasound this morning and found out end of October we will be welcoming identical twin boys to the house. Wife seems to have calmed down at least for the moment since everything at the appointment seemed good.
Have a local flock swap tomorrow and hope to move some birds. Running out of room.

Quote: I think some of us should get together & form an egg transport company, with several different drivers (all chicken people) covering different regions of the country in unmarked vehicles, I'd sure throw in.
Yes and we can call the company FED-EGGS OR UPCHICK!![]()

Ok, my humidity has been right around 65%. I just had 10 chicks hatch one right after another, and now it's in the 95% level. There is water buildup on the roof. Can I open it, to try to dispell some of the humidity? Or will that kill the pipped eggs? The chicks aren't drying.

I have a second hatching 'bator and there are 8 chicks in there - 4 of those hatched this morning, and all 8 are dry. There are 2 eggs zipping in that one, and a few pips. In the wet incubator, there are at least 8 more pips.
Thanks Sally!! Yes, I have to get rid of all of them. But these little guys have NO VOLUME whatsoever. I'm trying to find homes for them. I have a silkie roo, and a Salmon Favorelle roo that don't crow at all. I'm hoping they stay quiet. The babies, they are only 10 weeks old, and most of them are bantams. They need to get a bit bigger before they are become edible. The only truely louds ones we have are the BCM and a BEAUTIFUL Black silkie. I'm hoping a no crow rooster collar works.lol yums!!! I want to see what you decide on!!
this is bantis?
I will go fishing Kathy, very sweet colorful babies you have!
SWEETNESS!!!
Wait I though you had to get rid of roos?
Ambient humidity is in the 40s now, but we had thunderstorms for two weeks straight. I didn't have a hygro in the bator.good luck!!![@=/u/162672/Sally-Sunshine]@Sally Sunshine[/@] Thanks for the aircell tip, I'll adjust a bit.lol cute!! I wanna see it when it comes!! great gI think I have officially gone crazy! I just ordered a pillow with a Serama on it!![]()

Nathan bookmark this...... http://www.brahmacochin.org/poultry-breeding-genetics @NaJoBeLeNeed to head over to the Cochin thread and do some research but will ask the question here also. Is it possible to determine adult color at hatch. The 30 Cochin eggs I have hatching were assorted colors and I don't know what the possible colors were. Curious if it could be determined or not in case I decide to keep some of them.
