Our poor neighbor was out bush hoggin his front hill and all the sudden he kicks the tractor into a higher gear and takes of up the road past the cabin. Thought it was odd so I go see if hes okay. I come around the corner and see the tractor, unmanned, drivin down the ridge line and the neighbor runnin for the pond. I yell to ask him what in the world is he doing when I see the swarm on him. Poor guy mowed over a hive in the front, then stopped on ANOTHER HIVE in the back!

When we first moved in here they were so bad we couldn't have a bbq outside without them in our food and sodas. Brother in law taught me how to make a five gallon water trap that involves meat. Worked almost to well. I was emptying 2 to 3 inches of them out of the 5 gal bucket a week. It's taking several years with all neighbors helping but we can sit outside now without too much fear of being attacked.
On a separate occasion one night there was a horrible skunk smell lasting for sometime. Next day I was out looking around and saw where I'm assuming the skunk dug up the wasp nest. Parts of the nest were everywhere.
