I have a spare box fan I could put in the big window. They were open beaked with wings out earlier. Should I take it out? I am nervous about them and it.I usually have a fan in one of my buildings pushing air into the window but I can't find it.

I need more ventilation. I built it to keep drafts off the roosts in winter, and it is insulated, but that means even with the East and West Windows open no breeze goes to the roost. I need a Summer vent that I can close up later to get the winds from the SW.Whoa and with a single comment I feel like the worst back harder ever-
my chickens don't have a fan(least the grown up,ones outside). Hope my chickens love me anyway.![]()

Mine is bolted to the door. With thermostat. Next week is really concerning me with the heat here in California however Arizona is supposed to be much hotter. 120 in places.
No, I have RIR, B&W leghorns, isa browns, cl, EE, Welsummer, and two LO, in there right now, but they are a bit crowded at the moment. I processed the meaties last weekend, and now need to adjust my populations.I think if it is 85 or less in the building they'll be fine. Even higher if they're not heavy feathered breeds. You don't have any Chanteclers or Orloffs do you?
