Quote: I like it there, you can get a day pass if you go on rides or adults and grandparents can just buy tickets if they want to go with littles on the small stuff and merrygorounds etc. Or dont spend anything, free parking and admission, lotta shade A PLUS!!!! I cant go on rides with my neck but I do like the merrygorounds and stuff with them, and water rides, they have a huge pool and two campgrounds, one onsite and one more laid back off site. I like the offsite one, so kids chill and dont keep asking to go on more rides lol.

You need to be able to participate. Just use a randomizer to select the winners. I could do a dozen+ eggs that will be colored egg layers, or a non chicken item one of my custom fly bonnets for horses.

Lovely!!

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone could help me. I have been redirected here from the baby chick pictures forum as I have a problem with one of my latest hatchings. This poor little thing doesn't seem to be able to stand up at all. I took it to the vet this morning and they've said it is a developmental problem. It can sit up for so long, but then it will fall over and roll on to its back, unable to get up. Also it's head keeps lolling to one side. It can't stand up at all, doesn't seem to have the strength in its legs. I thought maybe it could be some form of splay leg? Or maybe even a vitamin deficiency? Any advise/help would be great. One the bottom picture it's the one that is sat funny with its legs out in front of it...as you probably will have already guessed. Thanks!

well, half a face! HA!

I am going out of town soon for a few days, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle my different chick age groups while gone. I currently move my "teenagers" to a run every morning and put them up in a coop at night (closed up so the big girls can't get to them since they aren't playing nice yet). I know this is not an option while I'm gone out of town. Do you think they would be okay if I put them in the run they are in and cover one end of it (top and sides) and put a few branches in for them to perch on? I just can't decide what to do! I know the person feeding/watering them for me will not be capable of catching and moving them each day. (I honestly thought I would have everyone integrated by now and it wouldn't be an issue to go out of town, but ya know... things don't always go as planned.)
where is the rest of ya? nice half face heather!

nothing goes as planned I have no suggestions for your eith3er

As long as you're not afraid of predators, it sounds like a plan to me!

I have the run lined with the 1/4" wire so I'm not too concerned about anything getting in. They stay in it all day every day and haven't had any issues. I also leave the feed in it at night and nothing has even tried to get in it. Not saying it isn't possible, but I am just not super worried. Will they adjust to that at night? Should I maybe leave them out there a few nights before I go out of town to see how they do? Right now, if I don't put them up before dark they stand at the door and act in a panic.

My other option is to try to integrate them in the next couple days and so far integration has been unsuccessful.

Any way you could cover the rest of the run, like with a tarp? Not predator-proof, but better than a written invitation to supper for the neighborhood varmints. A baited live trap would help, too.

Good morning! I have one peeping from inside the egg! My dog on the other hand is driving me nuts! Think she has upset tummy, she is farting up a storm, been out 4 times in an hour just to hear her pass gas. Surprisingly she hasn't rocketed across the yard.
:lau
I start making paracord bracelet. It is nice and I have the time for it!
Nice Benny, I make these for "For the Troops" donations. I also make them for friends These were the ones I made for my first Mud Run team! .
Good morning everyone. I wish my cell camera could catch the rainbow by the scattered shower to the west, but it can't. Have a great day!
Nice Dax!! You get some of the BEST pictures!!! Good morning all!!! No babies this morning, but I do hear chirping! I'm off to an early start for work. Busy week for me!!! It's the end of a quarter. Happy hatching everyone!!!

Do you have a tarp and or a couple of old pieces of plywood that you could make into a sort of box/coop and stick a board across in it as a roost?
Or @Fire Ant Farm has some mobile coops with an easy set up "coop/roost" end.

It is completely covered now with wire (bottom, top, sides), I just want to maybe put something over one end to make it feel more "closed" for them at night. Not that I have to worry about it being cold, it is so hot here. They might enjoy the night air!
