Hi Dax, I'm not sure. Your CL roosters are completely different than mine. Mine have more the color of the hens. Maybe because mines older and has developed color. In picking my rooster I go for bone structure. This is the only roo that hatched so he's it. . Two hens with him one doesn't lay a good egg and they don't lay very many. Perhaps every other day if that. Jury's still out on this trio.

I like his color.

Thank you. That's what I needed a few years back. When trying to check temps for garden. Couldn't find such a clear one.

I must say though the thermometer that is just down the road from me must be directly in the sun. It has it at 107*. Mines at 102 in the shade. Hot no matter what.

You are welcome! I found it a while back when I was looking for rainfall totals. I forgot I had it bookmarked, until I googled it again! My car temp said 113 the other day, but my porch one said 104, but we are MUCH cooler than that right now. I hope your area cools down soon!!!

I like his color.

Color is nice. Don't know what standard is with this breed. I got eggs from neighbor and these three are what hatched out of seven. They are supposed to be from GFF.

I'd really like to get the book for standards with chickens but I'm not sure if it has the breed I'm interested in in it. The Altsterier I can't find much information on them.

Anyone have an opinion on the portable hot tubs? Don't want to get a permanent one to put outside and have it freeze or drain it every winter when I need it most.
