Have you tried the frozen water bottles like Fire used?My splash LF Cochin who thinks she can hatch ceramic eggs. She is one cranky b#@%h! Been shooing her out and locked her out even but nooooo right back she goes.![]()
Hey guys I could really use some help. I had 12 shipped silkie eggs. Through incubation at different times they all stopped developing until their were 5 left. Hatch day only 1 hatched. Now day 22 and 2 out of 4 had internally pipped. Waited 12 hours and candled again but they both were breathing really heavy and getting quiet. Made a pin point size safety hole in both and placed them back in the incubator. Now almost 24 hours after I checked them again and 1 was silent. No movement. Up until now it had been active and chirping. Tapped it and nothing. Removed the shell and it's not alive. Perfectly formed no yoke and the veins have receded. I didn't want to help out to soon and now I'm kicking myself cause I feel like I could have saved it. I made the safety hole bigger in the other one so I can keep an eye on it. It's again in the incubator on a moist paper towel. Their are 2 more that haven't internally pipped but are moving. Their bodies are in the air cell and not the beak. Should I help or can the move to where they need to be? Need some major help. I'm panicking and don't know what to do. I know some people have the hands off approach and if it's weak theory but these will be pets so anything I can do at all?
