What's the location that you are setting them? I've had the best luck using the box trap when I set one side against a wall or fence and block the other side with something as well. Put the food all the way at the back of the trap and a little underneath the trigger plate. Then make sure it's fairly sensitively set.
I will try both. They have been in and out for two days now without tripping them so I need to make them more sensitive. When using box traps for the first time, they're more effective if you wire them open for the first few days. That way they can get fed and don't develop a fear of them.
I still highly recommend leg traps. They stick their paws in to get the goodies and can't get them out.
Hope you're able to catch them before to long.I will try both. They have been in and out for two days now without tripping them so I need to make them more sensitive.
They are a knock off I won't buy again, but I will try to adjust these.Adjust them with needle-nosed pliers, if they're Hav A Harts
