@ChickenCanoe

If the fish are herbivorous, they'll likely eat it. If they're carnivorous, like cichlids, they won't. If they're omnivorous, they may. If they're micro-predators, likely not.

We just have Kissing Gourami and lots of Platys

I'm thinking a product like Api's Algaefix may help.
If you skim out all the duckweed, where would more duckweed come from?

1 stray piece turns to 2, which turns to 4 ect. I think I had 1 dried piece that got wet months later and started up again. We have strong grow lights that help it along.

I do NOT want it in my fish tank, but will feed any or all that I collect to the chickies....
