It is good for ponds and lakes, but bad for fish tanks.  But yes, I would think it would be a problem to fish under it.  My fish don't eat it.  But the chickens LOVE it.  But they eat most anything.

I want some!!

I plan on not having a birthday on Thursday. :)

Wha....?? Okay!

Don't know proper means of tagging. Hope this is it.

Hen is still with the eggs. Due on Friday.

Perfect! Thanks.

I can only answer that last part. The answer is, everyone with ducks knows how hard that stuff is to find!

This one just learned.

I had brewers yeast before, but I don't know where it came from. There should be a huge sign on every store that has it and someone standing out next to the store and yelling "WE HAVE BREWERS YEAST!"

Here's the post that talks about nutritional yeast: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/869091/brewers-yeast-or-niacin-for-duckling#post_13155816

Hi everyone im new to this. I had a dozen ccl eggs and a 13th the breeder threw in for free of a copper maran mixed with a ccl. I had PLANED to gave my broody hatch them like she did ny last batch a month ago but she wasnt taking to these so i had to dust off my never used incubator plug it in an hope for the best. Thankfully i had found someone who had the same incubator. There doing good as far as i can tell. Last nigbt i put them in. Then today i found one of my month old chicks with wry neck. If its not one thing its another right!

Welcome!!! Do you have the wry neck under control, or do you want help?

Alright, change of plans! I don't have purina flock raiser, but instead manna pro poultry conditioner, which has 80 mg of niacin per lb. This can only be up to 25% of the ducks feed, though. So .... I'll do the math and see how much niacin that would be, but is this ok? :/  I also have nutritional yeast, but I read on another thread that there's way more niacin in that than in brewers yeast. I'll see if I can find the link. Why is nutritional yeast the wrong thing to give ducks?
:he  I might be able to get plain niacin or brewers yeast tomorrow, but who knows?! This is not going well at all. Who knew plain old regular niacin or brewers yeast was so hard to find?!!!:th
Vitamin store up in town carries it.

Actually, an employee should be able to look it up.
