Good morning/afternoon all!

My last hatch was great for the NON brown eggs (5 of 6). But, brown eggs, only 1 out of 14 hatched. Why can't I hatch brown eggs? It's frustrating! Next set of non brown eggs gets locked down on Friday. I set more, but can't remember when. Forgot to put it in hatch a batch. Could be interesting.

I loved the nursing home with chickens. I'll have to visit one next time in Australia.

A few things you can try.
Set your batches of white eggs and brown eggs separately. Weigh brown eggs rather than use a hygrometer or candle.
Look at the breeder flock. Insure the brown egg flock has excellent nutrition and male/female ratio is good.

I love traveling as well. Just not a big fan of vacations.

Problem with road kill is a lot of meat gets wasted and hopefully it's still fresh.

Out of laziness I sometimes just use scratch. If I have the option, in summer I use oat groats, millet, flax and a little sunflower seed. In cold weather, I use barley, wheat, flax and BOSS.

I only use road kill when I know the animal was just killed, like when I saw the cop shoot it.

What do you consider the difference between traveling and vacations?

No. I asked for some yesterday at the store and waited forever while the lady brought it out of storage. After I had left, I looked at the label, and it said: "nutritional yeast"! I know now to not trust people so much.

TSC is a ways away from here, but someone is over there already and picking up some purina flock raiser for me.

The flock raiser may not have enough niacin to reverse the damage. They'll still need a boost for a few days.
I would go ahead and add a bunch of the nutritional yeast, it has niacin too. Right now that's your only option.
Chicken and turkey breast meat is high in niacin too.

Finally he asked his sisters and women he knew what the most important thing was and they told him - tall.

There was once a study where women were given a variety of choices. For instance a tall garbage truck driver or a short accountant. They picked the garbage truck driver.

The only time a short guy was selected was when the tall guy was either a murderer or a child molester.

I would consider the difference being that most vacations are at a singular destination.

Thanks! I will use a separate incubator for any brown eggs next time and will weight them....guess I'll have to buy a scale!!! I have only bought brown eggs from BYC folks, but the ones I just hatched were for gotro17, they weren't mine and I'm not sure where she got them from.

If I have time off from work, it is called vacation - since that is what I put on my timecard. But, a stay at home vacation - I personally call a staycation. Most times I travel, it's to visit friends or family. I've made very few trips in the last 20 years that didn't involve visits to family.

I guess I don't fit with most other females. I am 5'7", my ex husband is 5'10". I think that any long term relationship I had, they were all under 5'11". Shortest was 5'5". I'm currently dating some that is 5'9".

just sayin....I've never had a problem....and several of my tall friends are lucky I'm not an ***....cuz I've been hit on by several wives over the years....i think looks and attitude matter too. I've been told when i was younger i was a very good looking man.....not my words.....now I'm just old.

I'm 5'4" my wife towers above me....at 5'8" all my boys are taller than me....my daughter is shorter.
