Lol sorry I didn't make it back last night

Greetings from the PNW and Mt. Baker Wilderness Area. A few from the days hike. I am now seated on the porch enjoy the early evening while someone else here makes dinner and at home my friend is doing my chores. Ah, vacation, so sweet but way too short.

Does anyone know if ducks will start laying again after setting a batch of eggs unsuccessfully? I think the only way I will get babies is if I incubate them myself but seems like all three girls have quit laying now.

it takes a couple weeks for them to start back up after being broody
