When we took the roof my mom's house the bats came swarming in from the attic, and my step dad ran like a little girl and locked himself in the bathroom

I was curious as one flew at my head last night when I went out to close up the coop for the night.

You do know they are blind, right. There may have been a mosquito or moth by your head that its sonar detected.

My Uncle was bitten by a bat a couple years ago, it flew at him and landed right on his chest. He had to go through several rounds of rabies treatments.

Bummer.

Is there a major test lab there somewhere, or what's the deal?

They want to make sure you know they are killing you with lead. That way you can't say anything. You don't have such warnings back east

We have at least 30 living in the breezeway of the barns. I think they are known to eat 1100-1200 bugs a night. So I'm glad they are there.

Thanks! Not sure. Is that something new? Or has it been happening for a long time? Look at our list of Governors.....We had Schwartzenegger from 2003 (after we kicked out Gray Davis) until 2011.

Google Moonbeam Brown - you'll see that he is our current gov.

I have a question about duck eggs. My experience with chickens has been they internally pip, then externally pip, make that pip hole larger, then zip. I've noticed on two of my pipped duck eggs, it seems like they are in the process of enlarging the pip hole, but they are just creating several new holes not enlarging the first. Is that anything I should be concerned about? The chicks always make the same hole larger so not sure what's up with these two. Here's a picture of one of the eggs. There's a third hole I couldn't get it in the picture.
