I bought all the eggs from Metzer. I was VERY lucky. My Gpa lives in Santa Clara, and my dad was out visiting earlier this summer. He told me he would stop by Metzer on his way home and pick me up some eggs! I tried for ducklings, but he was too afraid for that

He actually asked me, 'Now, I'm not gonna be driving down the interstate and have these things start popping out in the back seat right?'... I had to do a lot of reassuring.

The fourth (and last) Buff duck hatched last night! I put them all in the brooder this morning and so far so good!

I woke up to find two of the Cayuga had hatched after I went to bed! They are so hard to get a picture of though. They're solid black so they blend right in with the tray

I have a pip.

good morning big plans for today?

I had to make the flock wait this morning while the doves meandered away from the run door. I can't say that I ever saw this situation happening. It is quite funny, but also getting annoying.
I also keep hearing peeping. I can't tell if it is the eggs or from outside.

Yea the space is nice. I've actually got two empty small coops (only suitable for 3-4 birds or quarantine). If the teenage hormones continue in the grow out pen I'll probably have to separate them a bit more.

with no ladies they should be much better
