Have the goats eaten the devil weed? One thing I thought about was if they are out and about the poison oak won't you get that from them if you pet them? We used to from the dogs.

Yea they've cleared off a couple logs for me. Yes if they go romping through it I could get it from them.

Good on the clean up. They areas that I water in could sure use them. May get the mower out in the green zone to mow it down. It's in the area that the snake was and to get to the water I have to travel through two feet of grass.

Could use one of those reel mowers to cut down on fire risk. I almost caught up to a garter snake Sunday evening with the lawn tractor when I was cutting our grass.

Yea the area I mow is the orchard and it has been rock free for years. Very green now and the mower is electric and is on highest setting. Otherwise no mowing at this time.

I cringe every time a neighbor is out in this mowing or using a chain saw. One fire started years back was due to the neighbor putting in firebreak with mower. That one was 15 acres away thankfully they put an air tanker on it when it started and completely covered the fire and his house with the pink stuff.
