Just salt and water I sometimes add, garlic, dill, hot chili, lemon slice ect.
It is a strong coffee as coffee should be!
I add to this coffee a leaf or 2 from a Sweet scented geranium while the water is boiling or a drop from Orange flower extract in the end, it makes it very special and that my freind is the Libian Jewish coffee!

What variety of pelargonium do you use. I'm going to try it but it won't be that strong.

The cuc in the pickle juicy was very good 12 hours into soaking.

I found a new place for the trapped animals that the neighbors won't be offended. At least till the next one comes in.

I glad the vultures are back. There are wasps flying all over this raccoon and they don't care. Must say after they started the smell was awful. Getting the picture was not fun.

What I read: "Don't worry, Abi! You can still catch a cat while you are waiting to catch a few raccoons! Just remember they can find their way home, so it is best to drown it and shut up. Use tuna under the trap for best results."

That about sums it up. I just used tuna as an example. I use canned mackerel. It is just as effective but much cheaper. No sense in wasting some good tuna to feed the flies and ants while you're waiting on a predator.

I just closed escrow on the place yesterday, so I'm hoping to file the paperwork for the overlay on Monday!!! I have someone helping me get signatures on a petition to help support my application. I'm getting ready to go talk to the neighbors I know, and see what their thoughts are. I'll know more in about 3 weeks.

Thanks for checking!
Sounds good. Have you tried getting media involved? Having my story plastered all over TV news really helped our cause.

Do you think i should zip it up in a plastic bag or would that damage a potential chick from not getting humidity?
Oxygen, not humidity is the issue.
Closed in a plastic bage would suffocate the embryo.
Humidity would be higher in the bag because the egg has to lose moisture during incubation.
What day is the egg on?

She is about a year and a half old.
She should be mature enough to handle the job.

Most of them weren't sold anywhere except feed stores. All the ones I mentioned were popular with the field trial crowd. One of those "He has a very successful dog that he feeds Brand X feed, so it must be good" deals. Then there was the AKC faction who figured the more it cost the better it was; they fed something like Eukinuba, or some other high-priced spread that their vet was hawking that year; more of a status symbol than anything else.
The number of dog food brands has grown exponentially. Walking through Petco or Pet Smart is amazing. My wife feeds Blue Wilderness. 100% grain free and several types of meat as main ingredients.
The problem I have with dog shows is the dogs from hunting breeds, like Pointers, Setters, German Shorthairs , etc., that the judges are putting up, couldn't smell a game bird if they tripped over it. The show people are breeding for beauty, length of feathering on the legs, gait, and a slew of other criteria that in no way go along with what it takes to enable a good bird dog to perform in the field. Hip dysplasia, for example, in the larger breeds, is all too prevalent in show-bred dogs, but seldom is it a problem in their field-bred cousins. The average show dog of a hunting breed couldn't carry the feed bowl of a field-bred dog of the same breed.
I've never been to a "dog show". But we go to agility trials, obedience and herding competitions and similar events.
Mostly at Purina Farms about an hour from my house. They have competitions there almost every weekend.
This weekend they have 3 days of agility trials, disc dog competition along with an all breed cat show.
In 2 weeks there's an Australian Shepherd Specialty event.

The mommas had no problem with me going in to move the wall for them this morning. They were happy to get some scratch, and I think they liked the meal worms too. I hope so! Just touching the bag is enough to gross me out.
No live ones?

DW have millions of them, I will try.
All the obvious of course ( not to much!)
Amazing ice creams, pizzas, fish, pasta, cheese, fruits, pistachio cream, notiola creem I tasted kobe beef, and liters of the best coffee add to that wonderful views and nice people and you get a wonderful experience!
Venezia was a disappointment rood Italian vendors that shout at you if you ask a quastion, miliard of Japanese, Chinese, Indian and a bunch of other tourist sailing on gondolas and kissing under any bridge and awful awful tourist trap food! I'wont return!
I liked Venezia but I wasn't there in tourist season. Did you make it out to Lido? There's a nice beach across the island.

Last nights dinner. Fried Calamari with cherry tomatoes, pepperoncinis, chili flakes, spinach, carrots & red pepper aioli

House made wild boar ravioli in a tomato-vodka cream sauce & Parmigiano-Reggiano

Hands beer braised rabbit, ricotta gnocchi, zucchini, tomatoes, braising jus & black plum relish

A fine Chianti

3 nights in a row eating out Mexican, Cajun and now this, I'll be cooking at home for quite a while now.

...

Food looks delicious and it looks like a fun place to go.
Very fun place. I've been going there for over 40 years.

Eventing Dressage is on in an hour..... I'm gonna miss it. Phooey. Anyone taping it?? LOL
You can probably see it on NBC.com. They're live streaming. http://www.nbcolympics.com/live-stream-schedule/equestrian

We have about 20 locals in various Olympic events we're following.

The US Women's Rugby team split yesterday 1-1. Today they have to play Australia. Australia beat Columbia 53-0 and Fiji 36-0 yesterday.
The bicycling is pretty exciting. Lots of climbs and lots of crashes on the windy downhills.

yummy meal!! cute place
It's one of the oldest parts of town close to the riverfront. There's dozens of places like that up and down every street. Right next door is another good one, B.B.s Jazz, Blues and Soups. My daughter lives down there. Lots to do for a young person.

A woman does a cooking show on her ranch. The show started out with her grocery shopping.
I beg of you guys! Someone please tell me why she is bulk buying chicken and beef when she lives on a ranch!!

Actually this weekend has been very relaxing almost feel guilty....almost.

Going to try to rearrange some chickens today and perhaps mow the orchard.

Good to see only one mutt out of the broody. Hope your Icelandics eggs do well.

If temperature keeps going down here I'll be able to have the pullet shipped. He likes to ship chickens in the mid 80's.
That still seems hot to me for shipping a mature bird.

Where is that?

I wanna catch a cat.

You will eventually.

I just heard cappuccino is free at the Olympics in Brazil.

What actually happens with the he live shipment? I thought mid 80's would be good. I can wait

That is in Marysville a town 35 miles north of me. Place called The Brick. It's where the superintendent and I meet to go over the next house we are working on and mostly to have coffee. Wood floors that roll and creak when walked on. Perfect destressor place. There's another restaurant down the street that has been there for a very long time. The bar is awesome hand made/carved wood floors is about the same shape as The Brick. I'll have to get the history of The Brick and share it. Fun spot.
