Unfortunately skunks eat chickens too

I guess I said that somewhere else. Yes, they do. But in my mind, they are not going to be ripping apart HW cloth to do it. Nor climbing on top of the run to see if they can get in.

Yes they could go after your flock. Trap, dispatch , bury really really really deep, then burn clothes and the dang shovel. Yup I have had practice with em.
