How it flips in incubator.

I don't think this chick is going to make it. It seemed to perk up a tiny bit, but I think it aspirated some of the electrolyte solution. It went completely limp and I massaged it rigorously and it started breathing again. It's in my shirt again so I can monitor it. I had to put another egg in the incubator that the broody left (pipped and still breathing at this point). I can't keep opening incubator now because of that one. i hear a faint gurgling sound when it breathes.

When it seemed like it was doing better (around 9am today).

And now... It's laying limp but still breathing.

Will lift its head occasionally but not opening eyes.

:hide I did that to Banti duck. He didn't move nuch or well for almost two days. Lots of time snuggling him... When I wasn't aspirating him. :D
Gurgling noise didn't last long.

Hi, Kathy!  :frow

Since you're here, I have a question about Ivermectin. Topically applied, is it 8 drops per bird? Thanks in advance!

Hey there, Phil!  :frow   Things are much better now.

Yeah, sometimes life throws you a curve, but you have to keep swinging! ;)

Hi, LaLO! It's good to be back!!! Not sure how much I'll be participating, but I'm going to get back as much as possible!    :fl

I'm not trying to be argumentative, but this is actually the "ugly" stage for these birds. They're only 17 weeks old, and don't normally reach full maturity until they're around 7(ish) months old. They're going through some serious changes, but just like the ugly duckling, they will to transform into beautiful birds.   :thumbsup

Atta boy, Phil... keep creating memories he'll remember for a lifetime.  :highfive:

Hi, MC!!!  :hugs

I'm glad things are a better....nice to hear from you.
