I started her on Tylan 50 today, 1/4 cc subcutaneously. The smell is gross but hourly it'll go away as she heals. It smells much better now but I'm positive that's because of the vaseline I put on her head. Another BYC member suggested I coat it with baseline to keep it from drying out.
I am SO glad I'm not the only one with this issue! My son hates brushing his teeth and bathing well

what is it with boys?

I don't know, but my little brother had struggles with bathing and stuff too until he was in high school.

oh how many chickens do u have

4 adult chickens, 8 middle-aged chicks who are living outside now, and a new batch upstairs in the brooder. 10 that survived the journey.

I have 5 in the incubator. 4 look viable, but the one i'm pretty sure is a dud, is cracked all over and hard to candle... so I'm going with "it's a goner" but since there's no blood ring, and no smell... I'm leaving it be for now.

I would've used bacitracin over Vaseline but whatever
Lol my daughter likes to bath but sometimes gives me a hard time over teeth

My lone chick didn't live long enough to meet her new sisters. Had a pretty strong feeling that would happen. C'est la vie.

Now I have 4 silkie/mixes and a pullet to replace DD's australorp. She named it Rarity.
