Exactally 1 month till my birthday!!!

I'm hoping to get some lavender amaraucana eggs to put in the bator on the 11th so that they hatch on the 2nd of October. (My birthday)

There are ditch ducks on my road. The pretty ones weren't out yet.

Who needs regular ducks when you can have ditch ducks.

THATS WHAT I KEEP SAYING. If they can live in the ditch and survive, SURELY we can keep some on the pond!

There is a group on BYC that will tear anyone apart for leaving their ducks outside overnight. I was not a favorite in the group for making the ducks sleep in the coop! They belong inside the house.

Day 10, just candled the eggs in the incubator. Definitely had 3 chicks moving around in there! 1 egg looked dark & veined but didn't see any movement. Tossed the 3 clears.

I decided to candle one of the eggs from under the hens so I went outside & tried to take one from under a hen but she pecked me! I retreated in defeat. So no idea if those are developing. So far my experience has been that the broodies do a better job than the incubator though, so I will just assume that some will hatch out there. They are sitting on 5 eggs between them.

The broodies have settled their differences and are nicely sharing the eggs, so I am leaving them together for now.

Thanks, Penn, and thanks also to everyone else who expressed concern & offered up prayers. IDK what brings on anxiety attacks, but that's all it was. ER nurse told her to call the Primary Care Doctor ( whatever happened to the good ol' family Doctor? ) and get a different medication. She takes so many pills already that she rattles when she walks! They don't cure anything anymore, they just throw more pills at us. Better living through chemistry.

Looks like it will be just the two ayam cemani. Today is day 21, but the other eggs have no pips or chirping. I will leave them in since it can't hurt.

I took a girlfriend to our family farm a long time ago. During the middle of the night, she woke up with horrible abdominal pains. We had to take her to the hospital 20 miles away. My family served chili for dinner. Turned out to be gas. I guess she did her best to hold it in so as not to embarrass herself.

I would probably gone outside.

Morning! Working group on laundry and some house work until the sunrises. Hubby and I are both off work until Tuesday and we going to run amok together today!

Dax how is math fun once letters are thrown into it??? I don't see it as a possibility.

Thanks. I decided to go catch 2 before sunup and I just barely made it. It was just getting a little light in the eastern sky. I went to grab the rooster and he squirted off the roost right through my hands and before I knew it he ran from one end and headed for the door. I just barely caught him between my hip and the door frame. He screamed all the way to the cage. I never would have been able to catch him the rest of the day if he was out and knowing I was trying to get him.
I went back with a net to get the hen and that was just as dicey. She evaded the net, was off the roost, in and out of the nest box and I finally trapped her in there. Then she screamed all the way to the cage.

There's 6 more in cages on the back porch which only leaves 9 hens and 2 roosters to catch later in the big coop.

Mine never do. They scream bloody murder waking every bird on the property.

My weekend started yesterday at 10a.m. I had half a day off and today too, plus the weekend and Monday. I so need it, behind on things at home but need time to chill with hubby too.
My big rooster does that and half of my hens, where the rest are use to it thankfully. Fester makes enough racket then gets the rest of them going. I try to wear ear plugs when we need to pick him up. Also I am glad I don't speak chicken since I am positive what he says is not nice, fowl mouthed bird!
