they were born in jan. I wanted to wait until they were at least a year to breed them. We had them separated on purpose... but he broke through the fencing, not once, but twice. Which is why I shelled out 300 bucks for a mature female to stick in with him, hoping that he wouldn't have enough time to impregnante them. :( I know that a lot of people just leave their goats alone, and if they get pregnant, they get pregnant, but since this guys were more pets-then just live stock, I was trying to be careful witih their health. If they are pregnant, I might just have to eat mr.pickles. (half kidding.)
that stinks
either way i hope when they have babies they're cute

it WAS cheesy but its GONE !!!! oh to be a mother!!

You know Father wouldnt have given them his bowl!

I'll let you know! LOL

Blueberry was producing colostrum, so they assumed she was pregnant. I haven't been able to get close enough to her since we got her to feel for movement. she'd be due next month or in nov if she was, based on their experience with goat herds, but she was just out in a field, so they don't know if she was actually pregnant, or not... they just assumed she was since she was producing colostrum.

She's otherwise healthy, but skinny. I've been feeding her grain/grass to try and get a little weight on her. She has to be lasso'd to be caught, so if she has babies, milking her is going to be a feat of... stubbornness to be the boss and get'er'done. LOL

My kids promised to help once we get our milking stand built - I was planning on bottle feeding her babies after 3-4 days of colostrum, to make sure they are more people friendly. Since we want milking goats long-term, I need to be able to handle them, and wild goats are just too hard to tame if you don't bottlefeed. I can probably get her over time to tolerate being touched for milking, but she doesn't make it easy.

just add more feed! let the stuff sit at least two days!
I have 13 eggs due in 24 hours. 2 are iffy but there are already lots of pips and peeping. Probably was a little hot occasionally.

All of these can be used in poultry, but many are not FDA approved, and some are banned in poultry that can be used as food animals.

Quote: no I threw them out for peeing on my couch and the next day one was gone so the white one came back in, thank GOD he isnt the couch p er or the ooops missed the litter box crapper!!
As a matter of fact, I did check the prices. Between corrugated steel (which I believe is galvanized, but not sure), corrugated cellulose fiber/asphalt, & 3-tab asphalt shingles, the corrugated steel is cheapest, by a significant amount. Of course there are other things you need with any of the three options, some of which I may have overlooked.

@Roada Red your package arrive? Campin? @campingshaws
