Afternoon all... I almost fell asleep waiting on my oil change. They came out and told me I have a puncture in my back right tire (which is why my alert was going off on car for the tire pressure). Then told me they won't fix the puncture because my tires are dry rotted and I need new ones. So now I'm researching tire prices to get that fixed asap. Ugh.
:hugs
Thanks!
Ohhhh! I forgot to post this last night, I got my first egg from one of my April hatches yesterday. I'm not sure which one laid it (only 2 were hens), because they are both really red in the comb now. Anyway, it's the middle lighter brown one. YAY! (Oh, and let's just ignore the fact that I broke my index fingernail trying to open the coop door that was stuck LOL!)

I sold 4 of my 6 chicks within hours of putting them online (i wanted to keep 2) around here people really want and buy rhode island production reds, with that being said i seen the potential of making some money! I refuse to use my cooler bator, i want to buy a good one if im going to do it again. What does everyone recommend?

why do you refuse to use your coolerbator! whats wrong with it?

Not that y'all asked, but I'm sharing anyway. It's also gluten free!

Camping's red beans and rice

2 packs andouille sausage (any smoked sausage works)
3 cans of light red kidney beans
1 can of mild rotel

Season to taste (I used six pepper, dehydrated onion flakes, paprika, coarse salt, and parsley). I added two packs of sodium-free chicken bouillon mixed with two cups of water, then added enough water to almost cover everything. Cook on high for 6 hours.

30 minutes before serving I added two cups of dry rice. Served with green salad.

I don't usually use the rotel, but it was really good! Mushrooms would be good in it too, or corn and black beans. It wasn't like traditional red beans and rice, but I think I'll make it like this from now on.
yums!!!! I dont think I have ever used kidney beans except chili !!

Care starts by getting them warm and hydrated, then you go from there...
Do you have a post in your worms thread on capillary worm treatment?
Which worms thread?

the one you should make so we can have one note link instead of A GODZILLION lmao!!! @casportpony

I have been using Mosquito barrier that is 100% garlic that has worked for those pesky bugs... You can buy it online.

How'd you like to come live with me long enough to redesign my entire limited setup? You've done a fabulous job!

Yes, I am very against YARD TRASH unless its HIDDEN well, like my skids under a BROWN tarp and behind or aside the shed! it takes everything in me to get the silly junk my mother brings for my kids for the gardens, silly toads and bunnies and ughhhh nope not a fan of yard trash, I had a mustang sitting in front in the woods for two years and finally got it taken away this spring!! But it was a temp yard trash for FIL who moved to SC and couldnt pick it up.
Yes when we go on our walk we take a trash bag and pick up trash along the road and we don't like trash laying around the yard either I know my dad isn't a big fan of the snow fencing I have to fence off a section of the yard for now to let grass grow back in the run.
I like yer dad! it killed me to put even wire all over above the runs for NPIP here in pa!!!
 :yesss:

Besides nothing what does yard trash have to do with a blue roof?
now come on, you are kidding right?

It sticks out too much.
yes and sky belongs up there or reflections in water, you seen what I did to my pool right? I had to paint flags and stuff on it to make it look somewhat better, those bare white panels bugged the crud out of me! I hate seeing an above ground pool outback, but dang I sure love it and taking the kids in it! but nasty eye sores!

Wow Kat, you're posting good info faster than I can save it!! :bow
:woot
Another neat spider friend!
gross campin, you remove all them for when I visit ok now?
Sally, think this will be big enough for a duck house? Or save it for silkies? This pic is a few years old. That pup is dead and bubba is twice that size.
I lock my critters up at night, not sure how you do that with one of those or if you will?
I'll have to add hardware cloth over the windows and make a door. Maybe put it on a floating platform? We have a nice pond that's desperate for ducks. We talked about it several times over the summer. We were planning for scovies, to cut down the vegetation. But any ducks will help?

fingernail!!!! lol very pretty eggies!!!

Sally it's ready to go once I get the package, I have a hen that might go broody for me but I wanted to know if I let them set if you think I would be able to hatch them under her so I would be able to have a better hatch because I am not very good hatching he last time I hatched I set 13 eggs and 2 hatched. And if she a abandons them I will have the incubator inside plugged in and ready.
I see please read the pdf I gave you about treatment of shipped eggs @Roada Red
