So I just thought of something while thinking about @runt325

Years ago the feed store had a Royal Palm Turkey tom that was very lame, as in he could hardly walk. This was way before I knew about mycoplasma and other diseases that could cause this, and I gotta tell you how happy I am that I did not "adopt" him, 'cause given what I know now, and the nasty upper respiratory diseases that are at the feed store, I am convinced he had something like MS

Mycoplasma synoviae

The bacteria M. synoviae is a member of the mycoplasma genus. It causes disease in the joints, bones and respiratory system ofbirds. It is found throughout the world and infection may be referred to as Infectious Synovitis, Avian Mycoplasmosis, Infectious Sinusitis and Mycoplasma Arthritis. It is of economic importance because infection can cause a drop in egg production. The disease is most commonly seen in chickens, and transmission occurs both vertically and horizontally.

Both Mike and I didnt like the fowl costume contest, barely any entries, so what about an adult / Kids costume contest? winner in spec catagories....


??? catagories being? and maybe find small type donations for this contest? so we can send out a few?
