oh I know!!! he figured for two sides doh its just a single pitch roof!!!
I just now saw this post, after I wrote that novel in response to your first post. Now all you have to price is 10 panels, no ridge strips, and half as much of everything else. Add it all up, compare it to Hess' reduced charge, & go from there.

Neglected to tell you in 1st reply...I don't know whether "ln. ft." refers to the 14' length of the panels or the 30' length of the building.

Food for thought: I bought my panels for the deer blind on CL, from a guy in PA, near Ortana; had a trailer load of it. Unfortunately, I didn't keep his contact info, but thought maybe you know someone down that way who might be able to put you in touch with him...I don't remember Ortana being that big!

Good afternoon/evening! Hope everyone is having a fabulous day!
I have another question ;) - has anyone ever had a chicken with sour crop?
not yet :fl
Acv in water, I think I read monistat?? Somewhere

So I almost bought more Ducklings at swap meet today.
There were some cute as heck runners there.

I'm really thinking I want east indie ducks..... And Calls mostly to breed and sell and have fun with.

Cheapest option galvalume panels (non-painted). Cost would be $2.01 per ln ft. Our painted steel is $2.30 per ln ft

14x30 roof would require 20 panels (assuming it is two sided roof).
Non-painted = $562.80
Painted = $644.00

Pricing is for 20 panels @ 14’0”. Does NOT include trim, screws, or sales tax.

Due to location we could deliver at no charge.

Lead time is 2-3 days to get into our store. Maybe another 1-2 days to get delivered after that.

Thanks
Bob Hess

Overall price doesn't sound too bad, but if you can find 14' panels, figure out what 20 of them would cost you. If hubby and/or the older sons could do the installation, safely, you'd undoubtedly save a bunch of money. Screws & tax I understand; no idea what the trim would be, unless he's including the strips that go under the panels as trim, which I doubt. Figure out how much the materials + tax would cost you; everything over that goes into Hess' pocket.

I doubt stores like Lowes or Home Depot will carry 14' panels in stock. If they do, great. If not, they can probably special order them for you. Wherever you buy the panels should be able to tell you what you need other than the panels; screws, the foam or fiber strips that go under the panels, the ridge strips for the peak, etc.

What kind of roof is on the building now? I used the same product on my deer blind, screwing it directly onto the plywood sheathing. If you take the existing roof off, down to the rafters, you'll have to put strips on top of the rafters, running the 30' length, in several rows (not sure how many, but I'd think 2' apart), to support the panels. If you go that way, you might want to use a couple of translucent panels (on both sides of the roof) of the same design...like on your deck roof...for natural light.

In the end it all depends on how your men folk feel about working 15' off the ground.
just a wood shed dont have plywood just strips to hold the steel on thats on it now. but it was rigged, not done perfect, it is a woodshed remember it was all recycled materials, its not that high about ten foot in the front and maybe eight or seven in the back.
Well, heck...that should be a piece of cake, then. Didn't realize, or forgot, it was your wood shed you were talking about. That height wouldn't even bother me, & I'm nervous when I walk on a thick rug.

Your guys should be able to knock that out in an afternoon w/o breaking a sweat, if there are no undetected problems hiding under the old roof.

Yep! He's finally learned it! Now we're working on "sit."

I make my dogs sit and stay when I put their food down, and they can't have til I say "eat."
Good idea! My dog doesn't think his food is worth sitting for, or I would.

He sits for table scraps!

Thanks! Is it alright if the other chickens she's with also get the acv? And, this is one of the ones in "quarantine" (in quotation marks because I completely and absolutely messed
