Okay... Well, the eggs in the incubator are getting kicked out wed night so I have a day to clean and reset the temp settings. I ordered 5-6 silkie eggs off ebay, that say they'll be here by friday.

I figured since we only got 1 egg to hatch out of 6, we'd be lucky to get 1 out of 6 of a shipped set. lol

I know that's how many feel.
Snakes and bucket traps are more effective and I've never had either kill a chick.
A stairway to heaven bucket trap can kill more mice/rats in a night than a cat would bother with.
Snakes get into places cats can't and where the mice hide.

Awesome. I hope you're getting a tracking #. Let me know what kind of shipping box it comes in. Are you paying for the box and shipping?

Yes shipping and the box. But that's it. The box is the required box from PO

Mike, I sure did on that purple one! Took all they had. They must have just gone through, because nothing was dead and the racks were full. Clearance is my favorite.

My Ameraucana eggs are six hours into their 20th day of incubation. I am SSSSSOOOOO nervous!!!!! There were originally 12, but then my son knocked the incubator and cracked one beyond rescuing. I opened it up and the tiny little ten day old embryo was developing. I was mad, but quickly got over it. Then there eleven. On day 15 I was candling to see how all the chickies were doing and I DROPPED ONE!!! Oh, I kicked myself over that one for two days. This one too was too damaged for melted wax, so I opened it up and saw the tiny little chick moving. My kids were in aw over it.

Fast forward to now. The eggs are six hours into day 20 and I am so nervous. I hope I did everything right and as many hatch as possible (100% would be awesome). They eggs are all wiggling and twitching. Two have even rolled toward their neighbors and rolled back! Today I've caught myself checking the temperature and looking for signs of pipping about every two hours. When should they start to pip?

Good luck!!!

We had one hatch this morning, out of our 6... 5 of which got left in there until day 18. I think there may be a chance 1 more might hatch, but i'm throwing the rest out in a couple of days, as i'm 99% sure at least the 3 big ones, didn't develop.
