They are so cute! I just love them!

In this batch, I got this one Chick that looks like a blue barred rooster. What do you think?

Sally what did you do with the hurts and livers? I really hope that you didn't throw them!!
They are WONDERFUL eating!
Skewr them and grill them on the gril, some salt and pepper and they are extremely delicious and because they grow without antibiotic and chemicals also very helty!
Not my pic.

DW and children love them greatly!
Full of vitamins especially B12, protein and Iron!

Good morning! All the chickens are doing good-keeping a good eye on them. Coop run is a muddy mess. I want to order a couple yards of sand and pea gravel but my hand and wrist wont have it and husband is working crazy hours. Back to work tomorrow to do paperwork. Hope everybody has a great day-supposed to be nice out here today...

Morning all.

I noticed about two weeks ago my duck has this thickened darker orange/red stuff on his beak where it attaches to head. Yesterday, I noticed my goose has a white area on his now... Anyone know what this is and if I should be concerned?

I have a fish tank setup as my incubator lol ihave tinfoil on the outside to help keep the temp up its at a steady 100 degrees f watchin that closely tho just in case! It has a heat lamp with a 75 watt bulb in it for the heat source towels on top to keep heat and humidity levels going steady. Also have two glass jars of water for humidity one on each end Of the bator. And I have a digital thermometer In it too paper towels in the bottom to provide a less slippery surface for the chicks and right now I got 23 quail eggs and a dozen chicken eggs in it they bed. In there a day already so I'm turning them as we speak! lol chickens are a possible mix of silver laced wyandottes and some kinda bantam idk wat tho or if there's even any bantams mixed in the lady says shecollects them from all over her yard cuz her two clicks are the chickens I mentioned before and they r free range birds so she never knows which birds laid which eggs son ether look alike when they r eggs my quail eggs are coturnix quail so those will b an excited thing to see! Lol wish me luck peeps! Lol

good luck!!!!

pretty eggs!!! you set them at the same time? or altered sets?

So I am on day 7 and 8 with quite a few eggs (over 50), and 8 of them are these Gen 8-10 Olive Egger eggs... SUPER dark green/brown... I can't see in most of them AT ALL... A couple I can faintly see residual light at the bottom, gives me hope that means growth since black at the top... How on earth does anyone candle and hatch these? Do they all go to the end because you just can't see?
try cell phone flashlight ap

Not certain, let him grow and feather a bit more and you'll be able to tell.

:yesss:
Hi Pensmaster! Nope, she still sitting on something, but is up and about a lot.

When I check in on mine the only way I know she's even alive is when she blinks. This one is locked on serious. I'm hope she gets up I've just never seen her off the nest.

Awful stuff. Sorry about that.

Oh no!!!
Thanks

I'm so sorry.

I hope you keep trending better, Phil!
Good luck!

 Thank you!
Nice!

Good luck!

Hi Pensmaster!

Sorry about the Mareks.
thanks, it is what it is at this point and certainly something I never thought I'd be dealing with when I bought my first chicks. Making the ones passing as comfortable as I can. So far none of my larger older birds have been affected yet, only a few of the smaller game fowl and this season's hatches. A little over a dozen been incinerated so far.
