Hi everyone. Back to work but bad news. Mri results came back and if they call you before your appointment, its never good news.I have this: Complex tearing of the triangular fibrocartilage. Its about as good as it sounds. basically the group of cartilage and surrounding tissues/fibers that stabilizes the hand to the wrist is jacked up and why I have no coordination or grip strength and severe intermittent pain. I was immediately place in a hand and wrist brace/stabilizer until I can see a hand surgeon to determine the severity and course of treatment-anywhere from a mega-brace & steroid and pain injections to a cast to surgery. I am still able to desk duty for now and I am teaching the new grads, nurses and techs quite a bit. But I am having my pity party right now and if one more person tells me "well at least your not left handed" I am going to tie their arm behind their back and challenge them to carry a lunch tray, wash their hair, make a meatloaf....... I'm sorry to be negative and vent but this is far from anything I ever expected.....
