Quote: Had mower problems off & on spring/early summer; been pretty dry since then. I mowed last week for the first time in three weeks; looks like I mowed yesterday.
I don't mow when it's super hot & dry; bad for the grass. Better to leave it longer to retain what little moisture there is as much as possible.

Don't all speak at once now!

My daughter is sick with a 103.5-104.1 fever. We got her temp down to around 102.5 with a bath and tylonal and a frosty. Then she insisted, sick or not, that her chickens Rexi and Star, still needed attention.

I know people always say Silkies are broody, but I didn't realize they'd "Raise" another chick, while they were still a baby chick the way Rexi has taken on the mommy role to Star.

Rexi sits on her.

i don't know if either of them are "cute" or not, for their breed... but I love the little fluff on Star's feet. (cochin) and the fluff on Rexi's head. (silkie)
