Send some to Bubbles.

HEY NOW!! I never said she should do THAT!!

I don't think I should be getting important stock or rare breeds just yet, I'm still a newbie with a coop more holes than not, remember??

Hmm.... I feel an Idea growing in my head.....

Oh yeah... Send them to Chaos!!!

I wish I could send you them!! I do not know how long this single Barred Rock will lay as she is old, Did you read that I have her under the Large BCM rooster now? I am fairly sure black sexlinks is the making.

please DONT LET THIS GEN POOL DISAPPEAR, !!

I would prefer HRIR rooster, but BCM it is good also! Incubate ani fertile egg you can!

You should bild a flock of several roosters and many hens! Benny I just sold the majority of my flock. I will be out of commission for some time this winter and I have enough issues getting help with my care of them. They had to go. I still have her, but I just dont know. ughhh I am hoping Mike attempts to hatch some, or someone else. I dont want to add more eggs to any bators, as my time is coming to an end over winter for incubating and stuff. I know dear, And I understand, but is anyone of ouer freinds in BYC, can do the incubation and the start growing? It is a to good to be trowen off!
I would love to see @daxigait carry on the line. There is much more to the eggs than one would think, she is six and still laying six beautiful big eggs a week, unless its her down time. She is a nice big female as well. HOWEVER I am no longer NPIP certified. and she requires that, even for hatching eggs I think.

Hopefully as the season goes on your skill improves.
I hope so too. My team lost our first 2 pool sessions this year.

I'm looking into ordering chicks online, I know some of you have done it already, what was your best site to check
I've only ordered from Sandhill Preservation and Freedom Ranger hatchery. Sandhill is probably finished for the year.
I've picked up birds from Cackle. All the rest of my birds came from breeders.

read post to banty, thank you though!

gotcha

lol we know how to kill them, its the flopping control of the jerking that is the bother
When I was a kid, we'd chop the head off and put them in a burlap sack.

a chocolate Easter egger and speckled Sussex and I'm getting 6 ayam cimani eggs.he killed them by leaving them outside in a tube last winter with no heater instead of putting them back in there tank.
Tropicals can't handle outdoor temps in winter.

Tito's Vodka is gluten free. I just checked the label. @BantyChooks
Potatoes are gluten free.

You cant understand that, but did you see how fast he dispatched it?
In short, according to ouer religion we prefer not to eat animals because of cruelty in the killing.
But because it isn't relevant, and people need and want to eat meat, we have some strict rules how to kill in a minimum way of causing suffer to them. The knife is a special knife and 8s TREMENDOUSLY SHSRP!
And we cant eat the blood because " the blood is the soul" " הדם הוא הנפש" and we have to cover the blood of killd animal with dirt!
And that is the orange bucket for.
The blood from mine goes into the compost.

I can only hope that you will refrain from candling everyday.

Instead of candling, solve this puzzle (N equals E)

GQ FKEWJ BZF DNNJN VBZP
PH JNN EBJEBFNJ , FH AHK
PUGZW PUNA DH PH PUN
VBPNTQHVSJ' VBPNTQBSSJ?

Those are interesting. I like the switching ability. I've gotten epackets before. I don't know what it means but everything arrived without a hitch.
I use the ceramic reptile emitters. I also use premier heat plates.
I almost never use an infrared heat lamp any more.

I think a thank you card might be a nice thing for you to send @chicken hawk 33

Looks like they've turned the corner on weight. Are those weights average?

terrible images as they are crazy birds and the sight of my cell freaked them out. Ignore that pen please, the local place I get straw is getting some in soon ughhhh

red gold pheasants I assume its a pair as one is starting to color other is not
they look small in this image they are not really small lol

Do you ever use pine shavings for bedding? That's all I use indoors.
Straw was unavailable around here for about 8 months. I only use it in winter in runs and other bare areas.

Why would anyone keep fish in a tube with or without heat?
I thought you couldn't get the AC's 'cause of being too young to play the game. I'm so confused!
CJ sent them anyway.

That exactly!
All this,
Omg,omg,omg

Do you know what species of conure? it looks a little like a green cheeked. The species would be more specific because some are from as far south as Patagonia but as a general rule, 45 is likely too cold. 60 is a minimum for most conures but some may be able to handle 40 for brief periods. I don't think a nightly temp in that range is a good idea.
A bigger problem may be that the temperature shouldn't change more than 15F in a 24 hour period.

I have some low wattage heat pads that are brand new but not warm enough for my purposes. I can send you one.
They're about 14" across and in a red cloth cover that you could make your own snuggle.
PM me if you want one.

5 should be good for a first attempt at raising them.

That's a drop in the Tyson bucket. Perhaps a couple weeks' production from one of their processing facilities.

Some modern facilities produce nearly 20,000 tons of poultry meat a year.

Cargill is building a facility in Russia that will supply all the McDonald's restaurants in Russia. It will produce 18,000 metric tons a year.

That's the way I feel about all eggs. You know this already.

I remember when I was a kid, I was told that a chicken had to fight its way out of the shell on its own or it wouldn't survive. The effort makes it strong.

It was 94 a couple days less than a week ago. Today it won't make it to 70. What a relief.

Good luck. How many eggs will you be putting in?

Nice fish. How did he kill them?

Some mild steel square or round rod would probably be better than threaded unless you need the threads for nuts or something.

That's great. A LG is all I've used since the first of May. I now have about 70 chicks and adolescents as a result of hatching constantly. It wasn't always easy. Lots of temp spikes that I know killed plenty of embryos.

If the AC is running in the house (dry air), I usually fill them all and then don't add water again till lockdown when I fill them all again. If AC isn't running, I only fill 1 or 2 till the end. I always fill them all on day 19.

However, I weigh the eggs and keep track of weight loss. If it is on track, I don't worry about humidity again.

What kind?

In a perfect world that is so true.

My condolences to your country and the world at large on the loss of Shimon Peres.

I heard it a couple hours ago.

Usually it means they're content.

The host of the game felt bad for him and decided to give him the eggs, and even paid for shipping.

If you're cutting back drastically & don't foresee going back to 24/7 incubating again, I know where you might could sell one of your big 'bators. That relatively new guy who's training his bird dogs & stops in every so often might be interested.

It is bigger than 2 eggs omelet!
Unless the 2 eggs are ostrich eggs.

@ChickenCanoe While you wait on the root stuff and can't use chemicals the old timers say chop up a cabbage and flush it once a month.
@PensmasterHow goes the broody? Any more? :fl.
