I don't understand why if someone is older than say fifteen I don't see why

The reasons why are many... I'll try to pick the most important...
Prior to 18 you...
-aren't old enough to make a legally binding decision (due to most teens [and under] lacking common sense, and/or experience to make an educated decision and understand repercussions)
-don't have the right to tell your parents what your bringing into the house or on their land with out their consent. (Just because a kid says it's ok, half the time the parent knows nothing about it, and the answer is NO)
-may receive things that you would not know how to look up if it is even allowed in your local area

Prior to being 18, the parent is the one who is responsible for the teens/child's decisions, and gets the consequences strapped to them(in terms of if money is owed, property missing/damaged etc). This matters, because people doing these events, if they did any business with you, and it went south, would have to get your parent(s) involved, or worse yet for these awesome games and contest hosts could be in trouble from your parent if they went some legal route... These are kinda extreme and rare cases, but they happen, and it's safer for all to just omit under 18...

Even public events with raffles n such, (if allowing children, or its for children)rules always say 13-17 can participate, and if they win, parent must accept conditions and recieve prize. Sorry.

I am home. I am exhausted, so I will be back tomorrow. I need sleep, I've been up since 2am and drove 8 hours round trip for our little outting today.

21 didnt matter to me, my hubs is 7 years older than me :)
my husband is almost 14 years older and he made my 21 birthday seem like "no big deal" so we didn't do much. I think I had 2 drinks my entire birthday. Of course... these days, if I want a drink, 3 shots is my limit. He's kept me a light weight. Cheap date he says... jk

They are called rules and laws. Learn both and you won't be disappointed.

Apparently you didn't read the long post I wrote specifically for you, or you didn't care.
I should quit wasting my time responding to your posts.

You can't pick a random age. It is in the law. I thought you were in school. How did you miss the age 18 thing?
If you want to change the law, get involved in politics.

Can someone explain this to him?

-Kathy
I did but he didn't read or internalize it.

Build your own; cheaper, every bit as reliable if you use quality components, and customizeable to suit your particular needs

meant to say thanks! Ever had any experience with a DIY incubator?
Many of us have.

I think I stopped drinking at 21.
I stopped at 18 but picked it up again at 21. A few spells without since then.

Not really. At the time I quit for about 6 years. Now I drink like a fish.

I quit while I was in school. Couldn't afford to be tired.
