Penedesencas and other large Mediterranean breeds like Minorcas, Spanish and Catalans are great for predators.
They don't attack because they don't want to be around you.
In Texas they would fare well as would Cubalayas and Fayoumis.

Sometimes my eyes glaze over. Perhaps he just needs to slow down. I've seen some well written posts from him.

I'm guilty as well.

Much thicker.

I've made it through a couple times.
I want my birds to like me. I'm prickly enough that if animals don't like me, i'll eat them. It's why my goat mr. pickles is going to be dinner as soon as I can replace him with a different billy goat that's been hand-raised.

It can be really nerve wracking waiting for them to gain, but as long as there yolk bellies shrink, they peck food/water, and poop, they will usually be back up to hatch weight by day 5-8. Chicken chicks and ducklings seem to start gaining much earlier.

I don't have cable TV - I've never actually watched an episode of south park in my entire life. LOL

I did see a few minutes of one on youtube, because of playing world of warcraft and everyone linking me to the one where they were making fun of gamers.

I don't really care if my birds like me or not, they are utilitarian in nature. However them being aggressive is a certain invitation to dinner.

I know nothing of sea glass other than what Liz just told me, but I doubt it could be done in several eons, let alone a single lifetime
it actually gets worn down fairly quickly in the rocks and sand, think about being turned on sandpaper all day long

Air cells look good in my opinion.
Thanks

So sorry! I hope you get a pullet. I have my fingers crossed for my lone Ameraucana pullet of four 4/2/16 that has not laid yet. My Sapphire started and lays a very pale blue, but she started and has laid eight days in a row. The HRIR and my Ameraucana are my last hold outs of this year's hatches.
i hope i do too, i want more blue eggs

BAHAHHAHHHAAA you want me to answer that? they are day 16 but the pic is ummmm questionable? Love you Liz!!!

addicting huh?
you addicted yet lol

Sounds like AA.

I was in the army in Fort Polk, Louisiana in December and we had about 1" of wet snow. They freaked out and all of us northern soldiers had to drive the civilians home.

My wife had a one person travel agency. It was mostly adventure and specialty travel along with just air fare.
The air fare thing killed her when the airlines cut commissions to 5% and a max of $50 per ticket. Then people would call wanting you to play 'Beat that Fare' eating up your time and not intending to buy.
She did an elaborate wedding at a Scottish castle. More complicated was that people came from all over the states. Some wanted to go early and travel the UK, while some wanted to stay longer. She did all their stays at various types of lodging around the continent in addition to everything down to the flowers, cake and kilts for the men. She was pulling her hair out as changes kept coming in.
She did things like month long stays with a Shaman in the Southwest. Also crewed and non-crewed sailing charters.
It was always interesting.

Very sad. It makes me wonder how people can go through life and internalize nearly zero information.
We occasionally play games like trivia with my wife's sister's family. Her kids are all adults. It's scary how little they know beyond their social media world.

its funny, we always know who the snowbirds are around here
i can understand ALL of her frustrations

I'm looking at some of the Saipan Game Fowls... my husband keeps saying he thought they'd be a nice addition to a backyard flock since they are so mean/predator savvy.

I just am not 100% sold on a 3 foot tall chicken that may not like us. I'd hate to have to shoot one if they try to attack me...or beat it with a stick.
sounds scary

Well, like is subjective. If I want to pick it up, I expect it to tolerate it with out trying to kill me.

My billygoat won't let me touch him.

My husband says chickens are my new obsessions... he did say he'd rather I be addicted to chickens and BYC than my video games.

I'll agree with that as my kids like to try and hold the birds. I tell them if they can catch them then they can hold them. Sure they squawk and flap and try to get away but then they will settle down and tolerate it.
