and our crazy thread. Lots of good info with a "little" fun thrown in for good measure

I'd leave the eggs in a few more days, unless they start smelling

... It's been rainy and coolish so we went from 90 degrees to well it's 59 right now.. I love this post pretty good to get some laughs ohhhhhh yea and the socks loved the socks

This is seriously harder than having my own babies... way more stressful! tell me it gets better! chick 5 that i helped was well and truly dried out and stuck to the membrane. I took the shell off, but there is still membrane stuck on the chick... what do I do about that? chick is still in the bator.

You take the others out, and see if you have more chicks tomorrow. If not, you can candle to see if there is movement, or put one egg at a time in warm water (about 100*) to see if it wiggles.
In the future, there are ways to keep temps more stable.

Hey All!

That location hatch rate pic thing is interesting. Does it apply to all incubators?
And how many eggs you have in the bator?

I started out with 21 eggs... about half were infertile... blaming the silky rooster for that, the plymoth rocks and silver lace wyandottes are the ones that are developed. after i removed infertiles i was left with 11. in a 48 egg incubator.
