I just pur some Banham and peafowl eggs in our incubator. I was told that peafowl are as easy as chickens to raise and I have heard it’s just the opposite. I think I need some opinions as I have some time before hatching.

:welcome!

Do you have a separate incubator you use for hatching? Because if not, you've just set yourself up for a staggered hatch, and that is no fun.

Peachicks are more fragile than chicken chicks. They are much more prone to coccidiosis. Most people keep them on medicated feed from the time they hatch until they're about six months old, and don't put them on the ground until they're at least three months old.

You can't really free range them either because there's no guarantee they'll come back, so they need a fully enclosed run, and that means covered too, because they can fly.

They eat game bird feed, not layer feed, so the feed is different from chickens too.
