So when you get a fertilized egg how soon do you need to put it in an incubator for it to hatch. Im wondering because if i only have a couple of hens and want to have enough eggs to make it worth my time. Granted my quail arent laying yet but it want to be ready. thanks for the help

No I would save up your eggs for ten days then put them all in at the same time.. That way they all hatch around the same time... I staggered my last hatch and am having a heck of a time getting everybody swapped in and out of the hatcher.. Its a pain...

you can store them in an egg carton or rack in a cool place for ten to fourteen days. A cool place not the fridge!! Put them in a quail egg carton and put something under one side of the carton to tilt the eggs at an angle. Next day tilt them the other way. Do this every day to keep the yolk from sticking to the shell and you will get a better hatch rate.
