incubation period question-what is classed as day 1

It depends on what time of day you set your eggs in the incubator.

If they are set any time in the morning until around noon, then that day is counted as Day 1.

If they are set after noon or later then you count the next day as Day 1.

Hope this makes sense.

There was a post somewhere about the time of day you set the eggs determining if it counts as day 0 or day 1. I got my eggs from the egg man, set them that same morning, and counted it as day zero. I was expecting a hatch tomorrow - but they're hatching today.

Day 1 doesn't begin until 24 hours after they were placed in the incubator.
