Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

Alcatrez may need to stay on the Wire Flooring for ONE extra day Until he can get enough Strength in his legs. Remember he never got the oppoturnity to use those legs to bust out of his shell, so It doesn't surprise me that his little legs are weak. Give him Vitamin B, that will also help. just put a pill in his water.

He should be put on a Wire Flooring for a extra day or even Two days. The wired floor will help him get some traction to build up those muscles. I wouldn't tape his legs up yet, Usually the above will correct the problem.

I know we are not supposed to have favorites, but I am in love with Alcatraz! He lets me hold and snuggle him and seems to actually like it!

I took him out and put him on a towel on the kitchen counter and took some photos and watched him walk. I may be wrong and Lori may be right (again) that his legs just are not strong yet. They are just on pine shavings in their brooder. I can put the shelf liner down. If I put him back in the bator, do I need to worry about the high temperature? It's 102 in both bators.

Well I have tried the Shelf Liner and it didn't work for me seemed like once they get that way even with the liner there little foot just slips right down. The absolute best thing that has always worked for me was the wire, the 102 temp is OK, He'll probably love the heck out of it.. With the wire they can put there little toe nails in the holes, it's kind of like something to grab onto while they start pushing themselves up..
