Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

There are only two fully grown embryos in there as far as I can tell.
They both have air sacks smaller than I'd like at this late stage and one still has what looks to me like clear fluid between him and half of the air sack. Perhaps a little over an 1/8th of the egg is occupied by it. Is this the dreaded goo I've been reading about?

I have read in many places that Muscovy eggs should be locked down on day 31. Doing an experiment now, lol, found an egg outside that had pipped internally, so stuck it in the bator with humidity at 65-70%.

Curiosity question...
When does everybody else count the first day from?
With the eggs I'm incubating, I set them at 8 at night so I counted one day/day one to be 8pm the next night.
Or should that first day have been counted as first day?
If so, I locked them down at day 33, not 32:-/

Came back home this noon to see one of my two muscovys totally hatched and flopping about in the incubator. Second one has externally pipped and seems to be behind his little bro/sis in about every aspect (internal pipping, external pipping), so I'm hoping by the time I wake up tomorrow the second one will be out of the egg and I can boast about a 100% hatch rate! :D

Humidity was kept around 31-32% during incubation and upped to 67-69% during lockdown. Looks like this has worked great for me. The egg shell on the hatched duckling had little to no residue left over.

Absolutely fantastic to hear!
Fingers crossed for number two :)
