Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

Clean number seven nose around and under her beak, try to get some of that blood out of there your gonna have to be extremely care, need to get under neath that membrane, if your not comfortable doing it then DONT. Let her dry up some give her two hours..

Above number sevens beak there gooy stuff, clean that gooy stuff off this could be getting into her nostrils,, completely get her dried on top of her beak on the side if it and under neath. Her face area is to wet and gooy..

Here is where we are at:

7 has lost a LOT of blood. She seems pretty weak - but she's alive. She's about 1/2 way out of her shell - her head is all the way out. I have her sitting upright-ish, in a little tupperware....

8 is almost completely out. Looks good - just tired now, I think.

We put them both back in the bator to warm up. I think they both need a good rest!

Speaking of vitamins, the only ones I have are Nekton-S, for pet birds...Should I give her some? Or should I send Mark to Tractor Supply for duck vitamins? Or hold off...

FYI, ducklings, especially Muscovies, can die at a young age from dehydration... one of the two that I lost recently died from infection and severe dehydration, it was only 4-5 days old.
