When you make the cut make it where the string is but NOT on her side on the shell side.

So it will be her, the cord, the string on the cord and then the shell.

"Umbilical cord" cut - she was so good - held so still while we did it! Do you think it is safe to wash her off with the cord still hanging?

This is shrink-wrapped. This peachick died in the shell, fully absorbed, but I don't remember if it was malpositioned or not. Incubated under hen, not bator.
