Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

That's odd

Do you see any dips in the membrane surrounding the air sac? Idk if it makes a difference, but I kept my humidity about 31-32% during incubation

I'm feeling torn here. I was told the bator is meant to be shut at ALL times during lockdown but to check these things I've had to open and close it quickly a few times yeaterday and today. Is that going to effect the hatchability?
At days 32 - 35 I checked them once quickly each night too:-/

Yeah I have read that one. I've read a few like that but there's no mention of how to help with no internal pipping?
They all mention it and talk about potential causes but nobody in them offers a solution.
My thinking is that if the embryo is alive in there and cannot/will not pip, there surely has to be a way to help it rather than writing it off as a mortality?

it's a build up of CO2 that causes the chick to kind of...spasm which is what causes the pip. I don't believe there is anyway to save a chick who can't or won't internally pip.
What is your temperature? Seems to me it's off and too low, otherwise this whole deal would have been done by now. Is it possible your thermometer is off?

Wow I didn't know that Subhanalah. It just seems like such a waste :-(
The temp was at 37.5 for incubation then I've had it at 36.7 since lockdown and this afternoon I was told to drop it to 34.5.
I guess it's possible the thermometer is off? I have no way of telling though. I brought an independant one at the start of incubation so I could check it but the max reading it gave was 25ºC so I was unable to use it.
So basically, there is nothing I can do but hope they will pip internally?

I put one of the home energy saving thermometers in the incubator for twenty minutes.
It was reading just over 32ºC when I pulled it out and the incubator temp reads 34.3ºC so I'm assuming it isn't the thermometer that is off?

400

Here are the cuties! Hard to believe that just three days ago they were both two little eggs.
Any,name suggestions?
