It sounds like its just the clear connective tissue and no blood vessels.

I wonder what makes them have that brown snotty stuff? The last few of mine had increasing amounts of it, the later it was in hatching. (Last one had the most)
I believe the bright yellow stuff is actually urates? That's what it looks like to me anyway.
So I didn't hurt it!!? I was so worried that it was some essential thing it needed to absorb but it wanted out and it wanted out NOW lol! I'm curious to know what it is too.
One of its feet (the one that stayed in the egg till it fully hatched) is curled up still and I keep pestering it trying to get it to try and stand so I can be content that on the surface it's a healthy duckling. It doesn't want any part of it though the little stinker. Just flat on its little belly chirping away when I talk to it.
How long will it need to stay in the bator for? I've got its brooder box set up and there's not going to be any shortage of cuddles for it lol.
