I have in my incubator turkey eggs which have been in 1 week today and silkie eggs in today as turkeys take 1 week longer. My incubator has been awkward and temperature has stated 37.1 degree Celsius on the thermometer throughout the week. I have just put 2 higher watt light bulbs in as when i put the silkies in the temperature dropped even lower. The temperature is now 37.4 to 37.5 degrees Celsius. When i was changing the bulbs however the temperature went down to around 26 degrees Celsius due to problems which occurred this lasted about 15 to 20 minutes. Will 26 degrees Celsius have been too cold for the 1 week old turkeys for the 15 to 20 minutes and for the 3 to 4 hour old silkies. Also will 37.1 degrees Celsius have affected the turkeys throughout their first week.

I would have thought the silkies would be ok as they have only been in about 3 hours however i don't know about the turkeys. I am new to hatching turkeys and don't know much about them however have read that they are difficult and temperamental to hatch. I have hatch hens before so have some knowledge in the field but am still learning and would appreciate some advice here. Thanks.

I am pretty sure they will be fine. A sitting hen will get up and leave the nest for food etc, so it is no difference really.
