I am wanting to hatch some eggs one of these days. I seen someone that had a incubator and a hatchery. Most seem to just use the incubator. How does it work, I mean with auto turning trays do you have some that don't turn that you place the lockdown eggs on, or is there a 2nd unit that is a "hatchery" that you can place the lockdown eggs in to hatch. Thanks for the info.

Once the eggs are ready for lockdown (getting ready to hatch), you would take the auto turner out of the incubator and lay the eggs on their sides. At this point the eggs do not need to be turned. Or, you could put them in a separate hatcher. That is only needed if you are setting eggs on different dates and can not put them all into lockdown at the same time.
