Crowing
My eggs have been incubated for around 2 days and I decided to candle them and instead of looking into the egg and finding fog, I could see the ball of yolk. Did I accidentally boil them?

Ok!! Thank you so much, I was so worried!Nope! I don't think so at least! Usually the yolk gets darker when they're fertile so don't worry about it. Tomorrow hopefully you'll see veins!
Thanks for the photo. These are my polish frizzle eggs I put in there yesterday. You can see the yolk starting to darken.View attachment 2061357
Mine isn't sticking, I just waited for it to settle in place before I took a picture. I actually candled two seperate eggs because the first one wouldn't get into view. Don't fret about it too much. I've only had two hatches so far. The first one I was watching them 24/7. The last one.. well I got an egg turner and kinda totally forgot about them. Checking the humidity and temp about once or twice a day. I've had 100% hatch rates both times. Thanks for the photo. But now I have a bigger question, is my egg okay? The yolk would not stay in the center, it always floated to the top...
Nope, using a DIY, I it three times a day. Also the yolk is floating to the top, not sticking. Are you using an egg turner? On day 2 I don't think the embryo sticks yet.
Ok, thanks again. This is the first time I even tried to incubate eggs and I am a bit nervous because when I was little, the only broody hen that we had was dragged from her nest a day or two before the egg hatched by a predator and the babies died. So we never hatched eggs until now and I am nervous. I guess I will have to wait.Mine isn't sticking, I just waited for it to settle in place before I took a picture.
