Im having a hard time trying to find a good incubator. Im worried about some that are made with styrofoam, and im worried about the prices too. Im willing to spend around 150 but i rather spend less obviously. I still want a good one that can incubate atleast 15 eggs, has a fan, has an automatic egg turner, and tells me the temp humidity etc. I see some on ebay that look like the janoel 84 8 but im worried they are knock offs.
Can anyone please help me out with finding a good brand that has my specifications?

I've had Hova Bator and Little Giant Styrofoam types, 2 of each and only had one good year with Guineas a few ducks and a few chickens. I didn't like them. I had to buy different trays for each type bird and then went broke without getting the fans that supposedly increase your hatch rate.

My opinion were they were cheaply made but not cheap adding all the extras. when we were going to purchase a fan the little plastic pieces of the trays would break and we would have to replace them. My kids were so disappointed daddy couldn't afford to buy any more parts just to hatch some eggs. they were meticulous on watching temperatures and keeping water at the right levels. They candled the eggs and most were fertile and had chick embryos in them but as of hatching something went wrong.

I sold them for next to nothing and have been saving for something hopefully substantial that will work.

The Brinsea Octagon 20 ECO Manual Turn Egg Incubator seem pretty sure proof at the price your looking at. If they work like reviews say they would have been a better way for us to go from the very beginning.

Im now looking for a cabinet type for myself. I have been looking at the GQF MFG Digital Sportsman Cabinet Incubator 1502.

If anyone can give me some advice about that particular type incubator please respond.

thanks and good luck alexandherpets... :)

I have a brinsea octagon 20. best thing ever. mine was $150. That was just for the base model too. I could have gotten the automatic turner and digital temp reader but that was way out of my price range. However, im glad i didnt because manually turning is so easy with this incubator. you just turn the entire incubator without touching each egg. You will probably have a hard time finding a good incubator that does all that and still under the $150 budget.
