Incubator Humidity question

This Sunday I am receiving some chicken eggs to hatch. Yesterday I started up my new incubator and I'm wondering what my humidity should be. Right now it stays between 45 and 62. My temperature is perfect but it's humidity I'm worried about.If this helps my incubator is a circulated air one and has a egg Turner too

Closer to 45 is better until lockdown, then 65-70 for lockdown. Don't stress if it fluctuates a little. Good luck with the hatch, the anticipation is always fun.

do you have an auxiliary hygrometer and/or calibrated thermometer to check accuracy of incubator gauge? easiest way to check accuracy is salt test auxiliary and then compare to incubator. if the area you are in is 53 right now,you may consider dry hatch until lockdown and then raise to 60-65......as suggested earlier @Texas Kiki and others like @WVduckchick may be more helpful.

I don't have a auxiliary hydrometer or a calibrated thermometer. I've never heard of dry hatching before I'll look into it

dry hatching just means not adding additional water to your incubator. if you look under articles tab/hatching and incubation there is a great one by @WVduckchick dec 2017 on incubation humidity. it was very helpful for me when I started hatching

If it’s that humid in your area, definitely start without any water. It will probably still maintain 35-40% (it will change somewhat once you add the eggs) which should be fine. Monitor your air cells.
And another thermometer and hygrometer, tested for accuracy, is definitely a good idea with a new incubator. They can be way off, right out of the box.
