incubator humidity

Hey gang, at what level humidity do you keep your eggs at
for the first 15 days and also for the hatch??
I usually dry hatch but i was told that with cortunix
that it was a bad idea!
So how do you all do it???

Dry Hatching Any Gamebird Will Only Lead To Lotsa Dead Eggs....

50% Or As Close To It As Possible, Day 14-15 Jack It To 80+% And Drop The Temp 1 Degree. Also Place Them In Egg Cartons That Hold Them Lg End Up FOR THE HATCHING TIME--- It Will Increase Your Hatch Numbers ( Its Complicated To Explain Here--- But It Works!)

When I pay attention to them, I try to keep it around 45%. Lately, it seems I've been 'forgetting' and letting it hang out around 25%. Neither way seems to have affected them much. I had 11 of 13 chicks hatch yesterday when the humidity was at 25%

wow!!! guess everyone has there own way to hatch these little cottonballs. I have raised humidity to about 40-50%. The main thing that i have concerns about is leaving them in a tray during hatching. I have "always" laid the eggs down on there sides during hatching. Most hatcheries that i have visited have put the eggs on there side during hatching. Will it make a big difference??????

I would lay them on their sides for hatching.

I had 100% hatch with my last group of eggs and kept the humidity at 45% for days 1-14 and then upped the humidity to 80% for the last 3 days.

yes lay them on the side if you have a force air incubator, if a still air need to keep them at the same hight.
