I'm on day 2 of incubation in a homemade incubator and due to some issue on my part, the temperature spiked to 113-120 degrees for just over an hour before I noticed. The problem has been fixed and everything is back to normal now. Is there still hope for these eggs? Has anyone else had successful hatches despite temperature spikes?

Sorry to say but I doubt it, leave it until day 7 and then candle them to see if any are alive. If you want you could put new ones in as you’re only on day 2

From what I've read. It takes awhile for the core temperature of the eggs to rise, so its possible they are ok. IF the embryos survived there can be a possibility of them being handicapped. So keep that in mind. Might want to cut your small loss of just two days and start over.

How should I best dispose of the eggs? Would they still be good to eat (since it's only been 2 days) or should I just toss them?
